Russell Crowe accompanied by the Gentlemen Barbers awaits you at the Forum Theatre for two unmissable 'immersive' concerts.
It is a special relationship that binds the great Australian actor to Italy, but even more unique is the feeling with Rome to which he is and will forever be linked by The Gladiator, Ridley Scott's masterpiece, which made Russell Crowe an ambassador of the Capital in the world.
The Forum Theatre is the new immersive space where you can breathe in the history and atmosphere of the Forum Studios, the adjacent recording studios founded over half a century ago by the absolute masters of film music Ennio Morricone, Armando Trovajoli, Piero Piccioni and Luis Bacalov, and is the perfect synthesis of that relationship between Music and Cinema so dear to the Australian actor.
The hall in Piazza Euclide is in fact a surprising 'magic box' capable of transporting you into a multisensory experience made of sounds and images, and the original set-up planned for Russel Crowe's concerts will allow a direct, almost intimate relationship with what is happening on stage.
The power of an overwhelming rock concert pours into the hall not only with sounds and lights, but through videomapping technology that cancels out the walls of the theatre, creating suggestions projected in breathtaking sequences: a unique opportunity to enjoy a performance "face to face" with the artist, amidst covers "whose dust has been lifted", as Crowe is keen to clarify, and the tales of a life of Cinema and Music.
The formula, tried and tested, is the same one that Crowe has been bringing to the world for years: 'Indoor Garden Party' is a feast, almost a gathering of friends, to make music, have a beer and chat, accompanied by the band 'The Gentlemen Barbers', with whom relations go back 30 years: David Kelly (drums) and Stewart Kirwan (trumpet) were members of Thirty Odd Foot of Grunts, as well as playing with Crowe in 'The Ordinary Fear of God', which included Stuart Hunter (piano) and Chris Kamzelas (guitar). James Haselwood (bass) fitted perfectly into the band, which also features the wonderful voices of Stacey Fletcher, Susie Ahern and Britney Theriot.
