VRE – Virtual Reality Experience

Now in its 4th edition, the Festival Internazionale di arte digitale interattiva e immersiva VRE- Virtual Reality Experience is the flagship event for lovers of contemporary art and technology.

This year there are 32 digital works in competition, including 21 in the Official Competition, from 11 countries: Italy, Australia, Canada, Iran, Germany, France, Poland, Taiwan, Russia, USA, and United Kingdom.

The works, created to experience new digital languages and immersive technologies' frontiers, include VR Cinema, VR Exhibition, AR installations, Mixed Reality, Digital Sculpture, and VR Dance.

The themes addressed in this edition of VRE- Virtual Reality Experience are populism and misinformation as a threat to democracy, the danger of an atomic disaster, the climate emergency, the link between man and artificial intelligence, and the search for a new perspective on oneself, humanity and the Universe.

Auriea Harvey, an American visual artist who deals with design and programming photography and sculpture, is this year's protagonist with her digital art project. Her digital sculptures are visible at the Galleria delle Vasche of the Pelanda at the Mattatoio.
