Micki Piperno, guitarist and composer, is on stage at the Auditorium with his new album In the Air. In this latest work, the musician shows us his path aimed at creating a different way of making music with the acoustic guitar.
In this album, the guitar, often relegated to secondary roles, becomes the protagonist instrument, acquiring the centrality given to the piano or keyboard instruments in general. Accompanying Micki Piperno on stage we find the Imaginary Orchestra, a formation capable of ranging between the most disparate genres: jazz, instrumental music, world music and classical music.
The result is a broad and symphonic sound capable of enhancing the new and fascinating dimension of this modern chamber quartet in which guitar, flute, viola and double bass are in constant dialogue with each other, giving us great emotions.
Internationally renowned concert performer, as well as an important exponent of the Fingerstyle acoustic guitar, the Roman Michele “Micki” Piperno has participated in the most important Italian festivals. Among his latest works we remember, Guitar Story, The drift of the continents, Endless Horizon.
