Travel agencies, tour operators and guides: issuance and payment of non-repayable grants

depuis 30 Décembre 2020 à 28 Février 2021

Concrete measures that can support those who work in tourism industry – a sector crucial for the Italian economy – and kick-start recovery. As the Undersecretary for Tourism of MiBACT Lorenza Bonaccorsi recalled in a post, the Ministry has worked hard to offer help to companies and individual workers affected by the pandemic.

The total allocated in the various “Ristori” Decrees approved in the last months amounts to 680 million euros, of which 625 million euros for tour operators and travel agencies and 45 million euros for tour guides and tour leaders. Aid and benefits are also provided for companies that transport visitors and tourists, in urban and suburban areas, with open-top buses. People and companies involved in the organization and set-up of events, congresses and fairs can instead count on a new fund amounting to 350 million euros, in addition to the 20 million euros already allocated.

The Ministry is working to accelerate the payment of aids and grants and in these hours the beneficiaries are receiving transfers to their current accounts to offset part of the losses incurred in these long months.
