Instagram crowns the splendid Roman square undisputed queen of the cult places of world literature.

The famous location has, in fact, beaten other candidates of all respect in terms of citations by the number of hashtags by users of the popular social network.

The ranking of the 50 locations chosen for the most popular novels on Instagram was drawn up by the British online commerce portal Onbuy.com. It sees Piazza Navona and the fountain of the Four Rivers, undisputed protagonists of both the novel Angels and Demons by Dan Brown and Ron Howard's film of the same name, starring Tom Hanks as the intrepid Professor Robert Langdon.

Piazza Navona, one of the symbolic places of Rome, has collected 395,507 mentions on Instagram and precedes by over 11 thousand citations, the Glencoe Valley in the Scottish Highlands, where Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban was set.
In third place follows, with a gap of about 100 thousand citations, the Northern Irish Giant's Causeway, from the Game of Thrones saga.

The fourth position goes to the noisy Platform 9 and 3/4 of King's Cross station in London. From here, the train to Hogwarts, Harry Potter's school of magic, left.

The Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, a source of inspiration for J.R.R. Tolkien, the father of fantasy literature, in the creation of  The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, reaches the fifth position.

The ranking also cites impressive locations such as the Northern Irish Morne Mountains of The Chronicles of Narnia, New Jersey's Beach Haven of Jaws, Great Gatsby's Great Neck County, and Bram Stoker's terrifying Dracula's Whitby Abbey.

Rome also returns in the twentieth position with another iconic place in the Capital, the Pantheon, for Angels and Demons, thanks to which it is mentioned 20 thousand times on the popular social network.
