Suite en blanc - Serenade - Bolero

An unmissable evening at the Rome Opera House, including Suite en blanc, Serenade and Bolero, three famous performances of classical ballet.

Thanks to the most fascinating melodies of Édouard Lalo, Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Maurice Ravel, respective authors of the musical pieces adapted by some of the most important choreographers of the 20th century, great emotions can be relived.

In Suite en Blanc, originally composed by Édouard Lalo for the 19th century ballet Namouna in the new choreography of Serge Lifar, great emphasis is given to dance instead of the events of history making it lighter and more pleasant.

Serenade, with music by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, making its own debute as a ballet in 1934 with the choreography by the famous George Balanchine that we also find in this show, all the emotions and feelings emerge through the movements wonderfully performed by the dancers.

Ravel's Bolero, a ballet which made its debut in 1928 at the Paris Opera, immediately became famous for its exaggerated rhythm which makes it a classic. This too, with the exceptional choreography of Krzysztof Pastor, who debuted at the Dutch National Opera in 2012, is continuing to have great success across Europe.
