A summer evening devoted to culture and entertainment at Palazzo Massimo, Palazzo Altemps and Terme di Diocleziano, three of the four seats of the National Roman Museum, which houses art masterpieces of the likes of the Ludovisi Throne, the Galatian Suicide or the frescoes of the villa of Livia in Prima Porta.
Thanks to extraordinary night-time openings in July and August, visits to the museums are enriched by guided tours, theatrical and musical performances. A new exhibition space was inaugurated at Palazzo Altemps and it is possible to admire for the first time five Roman sculptures from the BNL collection, while in the courtyard, the site specific installation EMPIRE by Elisabetta Benassi, investigating the relationship between past and present time, is still on display. Starting from 2 August, Palazzo Massimo hosts the contemporary work of Diego Perrone.
Next dates on 18 July and on 1 August at Terme di Diocleziano with a musical performance and a theatrical performance, respectively; and on 2 August at Palazzo Massimo with a reading. Grand Finale on 29 August with a music performance at Palazzo Altemps.
