Curated by Ernesto Assante, journalist, music critic and author of many books dedicated to music published all over the world, the festival organized by the Musica per Roma Foundation is dedicated to new musical proposals and emerging talents in Rome.
The Roman scene is now particularly lively, an expression of a new musical Renaissance: Rome is also the capital of music, songs, hip hop. Retape wants to be the photograph of what is happening, the place where large and small realities can find their space.
There are many events scheduled from the end of January to 20 May. The Teatro Studio Borgna of the Auditorium Parco della Musica will host for example the exhibitions of the trio In June and the singer-songwriter Carrese (on 14 March), Roberto Giangrande and Giorgio Moretti (on 19 April), and on May 9 Maddalena and Setak, the first great Italian singer-songwriter to sing in the regional dialect of Abruzzo. The festival will be closed by the young Alice Robber and Rob Von Datty, author of surreal songs and overwhelming rock songs with sudden poetic cues.
