In order to support the economic and social fabric of the city, penalized by the persistence of the health emergency, Roma Capitale and ENM, the National Body for Microcredit, signed a memorandum of understanding valid for three years which led to the creation of a guarantee fund.
Three million euros is the amount already allocated in the budget to relaunch work and meet the needs of small businesses, shops and merchants. Loans are assigned to those who request them, in particular to those who have difficulty accessing bank credit because they do not have sufficient guarantees. The beneficiaries can repay the loan to replenish the guarantee capacity provided by the fund and allow other potential entrepreneurs to access the credit.
Thanks to ENM, which in recent years has supported the establishment of over 15 thousand companies, financial training courses have also been established to accompany entrepreneurs in developing their business in a healthy way and through careful planning. The initiative also provides for the activation of a territorial counter for microcredit, with employees trained by ENM. The initial financial endowment may be increased with subsequent participation contributions by other administrations, cooperatives, financial intermediaries, religious and third sector bodies, but also by individual private entities.
