Rome Art Week V edizione

The event, born from a project of KOU - Cultural Association for the Promotion of the Visual Arts of Contemporary Art, aims to build a network between artists, exhibition structures, critics, curators, sector operators and the public.

An annual event, the Rome Art Week is a democratic circuit where everyone can participate, which gives ample space to young people, with the aim of increasing and spreading knowledge of national and international contemporary art.

For this fifth edition, 121 galleries and institutions, 343 artists and 46 curators have already joined, for a total of 295 events.

An important novelty this year, concerns the www.romeartweek.com site, a true networking portal active 365 days a year, where artists, curators and structures can enter their biography and their works; it is also a platform through which the public can keep up to date on artists and structures and find out about the event as it unfolds.

The Raw Videoart Contest is also the first RAW competition aimed at videoartists, and is one of the many novelties of this fifth edition, as well as the RAW 360 ° project that allows you to enjoy the exhibitions through a virtual tour, also giving artists the possibility of joining in collectives and structures in consortia.

This year, RAW renews its collaboration with Miami New Media Festival with a call dedicated to all video artists participating in RAW 2020: the selected videos are exhibited during the Miami NMF. The 8 winners are: Meri Rancredi, Jerusa simone, Werther Germondari, Valentina Palazzari, Alessandro Arrigo, Andrea Felice, Mebitek - Ele Raus, ReBarbus / Baruffetty.

The Rome Art Week benefits from the patronage of: MIBACT Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, Lazio Region, Rome Capital Department of Cultural Growth, Sapienza University of Rome, Italian Confederation Union of Intellectual Professions.
