Biagiotti finances the restoration of the fountain of Goddess Roma in Piazza del Campidoglio

desde 22 Septiembre 2020 hasta 31 Diciembre 2020

Roman Renaissance, the evocative collection of the Roman Maison Laura Biagiotti that paraded at sunset on one of the most famous squares in Rome, symbolizes the rebirth of a city, Rome, which tries to leave the past behind and start over with more awareness and hope for a free, enlightening, and lasting future.

At the end of the event, Lavinia Biagiotti Cigna, the talented daughter of the late designer, unexpectedly announced a new act of patronage by her Maison. After the intervention on Piazza Farnese and the one still in progress on the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, the Biagiotti Group will finance the restoration works on the Fontana della Dea Roma. The 16th-century fountain depicts the goddess flanked by the Nile and Tiber rivers that Michelangelo placed at the foot of the new staircase of Palazzo Senatorio. The last restoration work on the fountain dates back to over 25 years ago.

The intent is to preserve unrepeatable masterpieces with a substantial intervention, in both structural and aesthetic terms.

The restoration will be carried out by the Biagiotti Group with the support of Intesa Sanpaolo, partner of the event, and under the management of the Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali.

Because fashion is not just entertainment but also, and above all, a driving force of our economy and our artistic heritage.
