Here, the museums, monuments and places of interest which are just a click away: from virtual tours, offering a 360-degree immersive experience, to permanent collections, revealed through photographs, videos, stories, podcast; from the magnificent squares to the monuments famous all over the world.

  • Virtual Tours. A digital journey through five Museums run by Roma Capitale and their masterpieces: a full-screen visit to the rooms of the Capitoline Museums, Trajan's Markets - Museo dei Fori Imperiali, Ara Pacis Museum, Napoleonic Museum and the Museums of Villa Torlonia, enriched with interactive maps, photos, videos and texts, with the museum itinerary chosen by the user. The virtual visit is accessible from the desktop using Flash Player.
  • Vatican Museums: on line, the virtual tours of the Museums sections, including Raphael's Rooms and the Sistine Chapel, and the complete collections to explore, told through photographs, videos and texts.
  • The Loggia of Cupid and Psyche at Villa Farnesina: an interactive system allows you to discover and admire in detail the stories of Cupid and Psyche, the artwork by Raphael, Giulio Romano and Giovan Francesco Penni, the pergola and animal species, made by Giovanni da Udine based on a design by Raphael.
  • Parco Archeologico del Colosseo: just one click to admire the extraordinary archaeological heritage of the area, from the "Mirabilia", a selection of the masterpieces of the heart of ancient Rome to the impressive collection of finds and statues of the Palatine Museum and the exhibition "Il Colosseo si racconta", together with "Passeggiate nel Parco" (Walks in the Park); also videos, news and live on the official social channels. Furthermore, on Facebook and YouTube, not to be missed the video of "The Night of the Museums - Night visit to the Colosseum", when the monument opened its gates online, inviting the public to relive its almost 2000 years of history on social channels with a walk under the moon.
  • Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica Barberini e Corsini: on the social channels Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, the museum continues its narration. Every Saturday, the story of the collection of the two museums; every Tuesday, appointment with #AnimaliFantastici, to discover the meaning of the numerous animals present in the artworks of the Galleries, while on Wednesday, #SeicentoaBarberini unveils the new rooms dedicated to the 17th-century setting in Palazzo Barberini. Online the exhibitions "Plasmare l’idea. Pierre-Étienne Monnot, Carlo Maratti e il monumento Odescalchi" and "La Cananea restaurata. Nuove scoperte su Mattia e Gregorio Preti".
  • Galleria Borghese: the villa, the rooms and the masterpieces, to be admired through texts, photographs and detailed captions of the artworks.
  • Basilica di Santa Maria in Trastevere: a virtual tour with a three-dimensional reconstruction of the splendid Basilica to ideally enter the chapels, admire the mosaics in the apse and the altarpieces and walk on the precious marble on the floor.
  • Basilicas and Papal Chapels: on the website of the Holy See, the virtual tours of Saint Peter's, Saint John Lateran, Saint Paul outside the Walls and Saint Mary Major, and the splendid and suggestive papal chapels, including the Redemptoris Mater and Pauline Chapels.
  • Basilica of Santa Maria sopra Minerva: 360° virtual tour of the beautiful basilica near the Pantheon, where the frescoes by Filippino Lippi, the paintings by Antoniazzo Romano and the Risen Christ, Michelangelo's masterpiece, are preserved.
  • Palazzo del Quirinale: virtual tours (with audio and text available in Italian, English, French, Spanish and Russian), virtual reality and 3D reconstruction to admire the splendid palace and its famous gardens.
  • Google Arts & Culture: the online platform provides high-resolution images of artworks and virtual tours of museums and galleries, such as the MAXXI, Museo Nazionale Romano - Terme di Diocleziano, the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, the Capitoline Museums, Centrale Montemartini, Trajan's Market, Ara Pacis Museum, Museo di Scultura Antica Giovanni Barracco, Museo della Civiltà Romana, Museo delle Mura, Museum of Rome, Napoleonic Museum, Casa Museo Alberto Moravia, Galleria d'Arte Moderna of Roma Capitale, Museo Carlo Bilotti, Museo Pietro Canonica, Museum of Rome in Trastevere and Villa Torlonia Museums.
  • Mausoleo di Augusto: the interactive history of the monument and its restoration project in reproduction with made-up images 3d models.
