Rome’s Art Quadrennial towards the opening in October

La Quadriennale di Roma
from 29 April 2020 to 30 July 2020

The Quadriennale di Roma, a foundation promoted by Roma Capitale, the Lazio Region and the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, confirms the 17th edition of the great event dedicated to contemporary art, organized together with Azienda speciale Palaexpo and due to open in October

Compatibly with the evolution of the health emergency and with government provisions, the Foundation has not experienced slowdowns in its activities and intends to be one of the first major exhibitions to reopen, thus offering a concrete contribution to Italy’s autumn restart. With some inevitable changes in the project: the curators Sarah Cosulich and Stefano Collicelli Cagol are at work to find solutions in line with the new scenario, without giving up on proposing – in the four thousand square meters dedicated to the exhibition which will host about forty artists – an unprecedented perspective on Italian art from the 1960s to today. To accompany the announcement, the Foundation has chosen a symbolic photo: a metaphorical embrace between young artists and curators during a performance that took place in 2019.
