The appointment with one of the most prestigious events of the entire Capitoline running scene is back with the competitive road race of 13 km and the non-competitive one of 5 and 13 km.
Now in its 24th edition, the Roma Appia Run is the only race in the world to be held on five different pavements: asphalt, cobblestones, lava paving, the Valley of the Caffarella soil, and the track of the Nando Martellini Stadium at the Baths of Caracalla.
The sporting event, organized by ACSI in collaboration with ACSI Italia Atletica and ACSI Campidoglio Palatino, includes four types of competitions: 13 km competitive, reserved for FIDAL members, Sports Promotion Bodies recognized by CONI and holders of RUN CARD, provided that they comply with the rules on health protection of sporting activity and the date of 16 April 2023 have completed the 18th year of age; 13 km non-competitive and 5 km non-competitive, open to all, and "Fulmine dell'Appia", speed trials over distances from 30 to 100 meters for children aged 2 to 17, scheduled on 15 April at the Stadium of the Baths of Caracalla.
The meeting point is set for 8.00 at the Stadiium of the Baths of Caracalla, with departure at 9.00 for the 5 km non-competitive race and 9.30 for the 13 km competitive and non-competitive races.
Although the route of this race differs between competitive and non-competitive races, it is compelling, with some challenging but fascinating stretches, including some of the most picturesque views of the Eternal City. It gives runners, lovers of sport and outdoor life, the unmissable opportunity to run on the most modern road of ancient Rome.
The event has the patronage of CONI, Fidal, Roma Capitale, Regione Lazio, the Appia Antica Regional Park and the Appia Antica Archaeological Park.
