45 minutes to fly over planets and get lost among galaxies and nebulae, face to face with the infinite wonder of the universe. Supported by the most up-to-date visualization technologies, the new original astronomical show by the scientific staff of the Planetarium of Rome is an extraordinary immersive journey through space and time, a one-of-a-kind guided tour that takes us through the mythical scenery of the constellations to conquer never-before-seen viewpoints from which to admire the Earth from afar, but also relive the crucial stages of space exploration and more recent astronomy.
Accompanied by live narration by astronomers, under the Planetarium’s large digital dome – which is equipped with new state-of-the-art technology and a complex system of ultra-high-contrast video-projectors with 4K resolution – we can finally return to stargazing and spacing far and wide, exploring the boundaries of the galaxy and discovering lights and stories from the entire universe: stories of scientific investigations and unsettling discoveries that redefine our place in the cosmos. But that’s not all: Rome’s eternal relationship with the stars provides the cue to re-enact the fascination of observing the sky and stars through history, from the ancient Romans to space probes.
