Rome has risen to the highest step of the podium thanks to Circo Maximo Experience, the exciting tour of the largest building for shows of antiquity: thanks to augmented and virtual reality, the Circus Maximus relives in all its historical phases and in all its magnificence, from the first and simple wooden construction to the splendor of the imperial age, from the Middle Ages to the early decades of the 20th century.
The innovative interactive project outperformed candidates such as the Spanish Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, the Rijksmuseum Muiderslot in the Netherlands and the Crazy Horse in Paris and, based on the preferences expressed by tourists and travelers from all over the world, it won in the Most Innovative Venue category, reserved for attractions that have been able to innovate and renew themselves in a difficult period in which the tourism sector has been particularly affected, responding quickly and creatively to new challenges.
