Dans le tourbillon du tout-monde

Dans le touribillon de tout-mond

The collective exhibition brings together the works of the and scholars resixteen artistssearchers working in the vast field of creation, from the visual arts to design, from architecture to music, from cinema to literature and art history.

The projects presented are the result of research, activities and reflections cultivated by the researchers during their residence in Villa Medici, and bear the mark, for content and expressive forms, of the changes of the current year. The displayed works highlight the connection between individual creations and a mutual project, create bridges between disciplines and trace paths that testify to this exceptional moment of collective consciousness.
"The exhibition explores moods, gestures, thoughts, and proposes destabilized works, makes sense of them, searches for ways of doing things that will soon become widespread social behaviours or only memories of a time that has also marked us who thought to be the undisputed ruler of our lives and our works" as the curator Lorenzo Romito says.

Dans le tourbillon du tout-monde is an invitation addressed to the public, an appointment with an exhibition that arises after a period of uncertainty and which therefore acquires perhaps even greater importance.

The exhibition Dans le tourbillon du tout-monde puts together the works of the sixteen scholars of the 2019-2020 promotion: Sammy Baloji (photographer and visual artist), Frédérique Barchelard and Flavien Menu (architects), Benjamin Crotty (writer), Pauline Curnier-Jardin ( screenwriter and visual artist), Bastien David (composer), Samuel Gratacap (photographer), Valentina Hristova (art historian), Mathieu Larnaudie (writer), François Olislaeger (designer and cartoonist), Louise Sartor (painter), Fanny Taillandier ( writer), Sébastien Thiéry (writer), Mikel Urquiza (composer), Jeanne Vicerial (textile designer), Sara Vitacca (art historian).
