Things to do in Rome together with your young inquisitive tourists
Rome offers a whole range of attractions for young visitors.
The very young might like to join the colourful workshops which the Casina di Raffaello, a play centre tucked away in the Villa Borghese public park, organises on the theme of its exhibitions or those put on in the Explora Museum, a customized town for children in Via Flaminia 80.
For the slightly older, the Technotown play centre, with its “special effects” and “interactive floors”, is proving to be a big hit.
On a fine day, there is a great deal of fun in store at the Biopark, while a visit should not be missed to the nearby Museo civico di Zoologia (the Civic Museum of Zoology).
If on the other hand you should choose to entertain your children with marionettes, puppets or stage shows then it is off to the Teatro Verde, or the Teatro Stabile dei Burattini (Puppets) “San Carlino”.
Finally on Saturdays and Sundays, there is Palnetario di Roma (Rome’s Planetarium) with its special programme for children which is regularly updated.
