As part of the 36th edition of the REF - Romaeuropa Festival 2021, the Teatro India hosts the latest creation by the eclectic Roberto Castello, a choreographer from Turin born in 1960 and one of the main founders of contemporary dance in Italy.
Seductive, pleasant, engaging, brilliant and fun, the tragedy in the form of a comedy focuses on the intrusiveness of the ego. In Western culture, hell inspired preachers and artists of all times and is the place that makes it possible to atone for moral and material sins. It is the supernatural space of ruin and chaos, where the wicked are punished and good triumphs over evil.
In Castello's production - devoid of sulfur, devils with horns, tails and trident - hell is here today and looks a lot like Heaven. The show represents the competitive push to appear ever more capable, correct, attractive, strong, responsible, and intelligent to obtain moral, social, emotional and economic recognition and satisfaction.
