Crowned by TripAdvisor as the most popular monument of 2019 and with more than 60 million visitors registered in the last 10 years, the Parco archeologico del Colosseo introduces a new ticketing system with the start of 2020, with prices that are always competitive on the international museum offer. What immediately stands out is that from 1 January the Imperial Forums are included in all types of tickets, thanks to the agreement between Roma Capitale, the Capitoline Superintendence and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism.
Alongside the ordinary ticket at 16 euros, valid for one day to visit the entire “simple” circuit of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and Imperial Forums, it is now possible to buy the Forum Pass SUPER, to get to know the cradle of western culture more closely, on a walk that spans 3,000 years. Valid for one day at the cost of 16 euros, it allows ticketholders access to the Roman Forum, Palatine, Imperial Forums and SUPER sites: the Palatine Museum, the Neronian Cryptoporticus, the splendid Loggia Mattei with the Isiaca Hall, the houses of Augustus and Livia, the Domus Transitoria which was Nero’s first palace, the Temple of Romulus, the church of Santa Maria Antiqua with the Oratory of the Forty Martyrs and the Imperial Ramp, with new multimedia devices that reveal all their secrets. With the exception of the Palatine Museum and the Neronian Cryptoporticus, access is limited for all other sites: the precious paintings preserved inside them would not tolerate an excessive number of visitors.
To make the visit experience in ancient Rome truly complete, visitors will also be able to purchase the Full Experience: the ticket, at the cost of 22 euros, is valid for 2 days and allows ticketholders 1 entry to the Colosseum (including the arena or the underground tunnels) and 1 entry to the Forum Pass SUPER circuit (Imperial Forums, Roman Forum, Palatine, Super sites).
All tickets are available for purchase online and in ticket booths, located at Largo della Salara Vecchia/Largo Corrado Ricci, on the Via Sacra/Arch of Titus and on Via di San Gregorio. The Forum Pass SUPER is also available at the ticket booth located at the entrance to Trajan’s Column in Piazza Santa Maria di Loreto. MIC Card holders are entitled to free admission for the Imperial Forums area only.
