Forum Pass: Roman Forum - Palatine Hill and the Imperial Fora in a single path

Foro Romano
from 19 June 2019 to 31 December 2019

From Saturday 29 June 2019 it will be possible to visit the Roman Forum and the Imperial Fora with a single ticket, thanks to the new and extraordinary path that will connect the two sites.

The visit, of about two hours, will allow the public to pass through 3,000 years of history in the area between Curia Iulia, Foro di Nerva and Foro di Cesare.

The ticket, at the cost of 16 euros, is valid for the entire day and can be purchased both at the ticket offices of the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill as well as at those of the Trajan’s Column. For young people aged 18 to 25, the cost is 2 euros and is part of the 'package' of benefits introduced by the Ministry to encourage boys and girls to visit the national museums and archaeological sites.

The unique itinerary is the result of the work started in the past few months by the Mibac, Roma Capitale, Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali and Parco Archeologico del Colosseo.

The memorandum of understanding, explained on Thursday morning by the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Alberto Bonisoli, and by the Mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi, was signed by Parco Archeologico del Colosseo and Sovrintendenza Capitolina. It starts an experimental phase (until 31 December 2019) of integrated access to the archaeological area of the Colosseum that should become final in 2020.

On Saturday 29 June, on the occasion of the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, patrons of Rome, the entrance to the area will be free for citizens and tourists.

Ticket Offices: Largo della Salara Vecchia – Via Sacra, in prossimità dell’Arco di Tito – Via di San Gregorio – Via del Tulliano, di fronte al Carcere Mamertino – Piazza della Madonna di Loreto, new ticket office near Trajan's Column.
