The tragedy Hamlet is on stage at the Argentina Theater, directed by Giorgio Barberio Corsetti, with Fausto Cabra, Michelangelo Dalisi, Sara Putignano, Francesco Bolo Rossini among the main actors.

Considered by most critics to be Shakespeare's absolute masterpiece, The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark is one of the most famous dramaturgical works in the world. Written by the bard between 1600 and 1602, it is best known for the monologue of the Prince of Denmark To be or not to be (act III, scene I), the most famous passage in the drama, which highlights the ambiguous and irresolute nature of Hamlet, his uncertainty between being and appearing, between thought and action. In fact, the young prince seems determined to carry out his revenge against his father's killer uncle but continually postpones his action: doubt and hesitation seem to be his antagonists until the end.

In Giorgio Barberio Corsetti's show, Hamlet alone on stage, he welcomes the audience to share the question: to be or not to be? From that moment on, the protagonist, together with the other characters and with the audience, seems to enter another dimension, which is both real and imaginary or symbolic at the same time. In a mobile and modular scene, made of architectures that contain landscapes, environments and worlds, the capital Elsinore takes shape, crossed by a terrible and tireless activity, whose destiny seems to be written in the overlapping of the lives that inhabit it. Elsinore thus becomes like an inner city that has no other shape than that of a stage and an audience and its story, animated by characters, actors and actresses, belongs to all of us.
