For the third consecutive year, Rome goes baroque returns, a unique event of its kind, which enhances the art places of baroque Rome with concerts of music from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries performed on copies of ancient instruments according to philological criteria, preceded by short guided tours.
Conceived by the Early Music Italia Association and directed by Maestro Giorgio Matteoli, the autumn festival includes several appointments with five musical ensembles made up of musicians specialized in the Baroque repertoire, who perform in all the most important national and international ancient music festivals.
This year, on the program, music by Frescobaldi, Corelli, Vivaldi, Bach, Albinoni, Händel, Caccini, played by cellists Stefano Aiolli, Nicola Brovelli, Giovanna D'Amato, Vincenzo Lioy, violinist Gian Andrea Guerra and harpsichordist Luigi Accardo , just to name a few.
